First identify whether the credential expires
Microsoft Fundamentals certifications currently do not expire, while eligible associate, expert and specialty certifications use the annual renewal process. Confirm the credential type before creating a renewal countdown.
Use the Learn profile’s six-month window
For eligible renewable credentials, the free assessment becomes available during the six months before expiration. The profile’s actual date should drive the plan.
Leave room for another assessment attempt
Do not make the final eligible day your first attempt. Earlier completion leaves time to review missed topics and retake while the credential is still within the renewal path.
