PMI currently requires PMP holders to earn 60 PDUs in a three-year cycle. The structure matters: at least 35 must be Education PDUs, no more than 25 can be Giving Back, and each PMI Talent Triangle area has a minimum.
The 60-PDU structure
For PMP, PgMP, PfMP, and PMI-PBA, PMI currently states a 60-PDU cycle with a minimum of 35 Education PDUs and a maximum of 25 Giving Back PDUs.
Talent Triangle minimums
PMI currently requires at least 8 PDUs in each of Ways of Working, Power Skills, and Business Acumen for these 60-PDU credentials.
Renewal still requires reporting and payment
After earning the required PDUs, report them in PMI’s CCRS and complete the renewal-fee step. A spreadsheet total alone does not renew the certification.
