List each jurisdiction separately, identify overlapping subject rules, and never assume the same activity is accepted by every board.
State rules control
Use the engineering licensing board for each state you hold. Total PDHs, ethics/state-law requirements, carryover, exemptions, accepted activities, and renewal periods can differ.
Track overlap deliberately
For multi-state practice, record the same course once but mark eligibility separately for every state rather than assuming a universal PDH value.
Keep audit evidence
Store the completion certificate, course description, provider, date, credit amount, and any board-specific evidence required by the jurisdictions you maintain.
