Do not round partial attendance upward unless the governing program explicitly permits it. Record actual eligible time and apply the authority’s credit increment rules.

Keep the unrounded source quantity

Store the original minutes, contact hours or provider-awarded units before applying a reporting conversion. Early rounding can compound when several activities are added.

Use the receiving authority’s rounding rule

Do not invent quarter-hour, half-hour or whole-credit rounding because another program uses it. Apply the rule attached to the credential you are reporting.

Make the calculation reproducible

Keep enough precision in your worksheet to reproduce the submitted total from the original records and the published rounding method.

Verify the governing ruleThis page explains a planning method, not a universal licensing rule. If your credential has a mandatory total, category, provider, or reporting rule, use the issuing authority as the final source.
Decision boundary: LearnWithShery explains the workflow and helps you plan it. The university, scholarship provider, immigration authority, recognition body or professional regulator makes the final decision for your case.
