Measure only the qualifying portion
Breaks, meals, networking, introductions and non-educational segments may not count as instructional time. Use the provider record and authority definition rather than the event’s total wall-clock duration.
Retain agenda-level evidence when useful
For multi-session events or long programs, keep the agenda, session titles, speakers, dates and awarded credit so the claimed amount can be reconstructed.
