Plan against the four-year window

GIAC currently describes a 36-CPE renewal route across the four-year certification period. Spread the work instead of treating the final year as the entire renewal window.

Category caps matter

Different GIAC CPE activities have different limits. For example, current work-experience guidance allows one CPE per month up to 12 CPEs per renewal, so a 36-credit total cannot be assumed to come from unlimited work experience.

Keep proof with the activity

Store the evidence that matches the claimed CPE category and reconcile your planning total with GIAC’s renewal record before submitting.
