CE is one current recertification route
Cisco currently lists 30 Continuing Education credits for this certification level. Exam-based or advancement routes can also be available, so choose the path tied to the exact active certification.
Expiration changes your options
Cisco says recertification requirements must be completed by the expiration date. If the certification expires, the full certification exam process is required again to return to active status.
Do not plan on an extension
Cisco’s current recertification FAQ says it does not provide recertification extensions. Build a personal finish date before the expiration shown in CertMetrics or the applicable Cisco tracking system.
