Use this workflow to identify which body should answer a qualification-recognition question instead of relying on a generic equivalency claim from a third-party article.
Define the purpose first
Recognition for university admission, general academic comparability, immigration, employment and entry to a regulated profession can follow different routes even for the same degree.
Verify the awarding institution
Recognition normally begins with the legal/recognised status of the awarding institution and qualification in its home system. Use an official national registry, ENIC-NARIC route, WHED-linked source or destination authority where appropriate.
The authority can still defer to the university or regulator
A comparability statement does not automatically create admission or professional licensing rights. The receiving university or profession regulator can apply additional criteria.
