Keep the original unit or credit label from the completion record. Convert only when the receiving licensing board or certification program tells you how it treats the activity.

What to record

Save the provider, activity title, date, original credit unit, amount, category, certificate, and the authority rule you relied on. That makes later audits and multi-credential use easier to verify.
